Jo graduated from Griffith University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Exercise Science, and a Master of Physiotherapy. She has a special interest in Telehealth, that was developed during further education and research into the provision of Interprofessional Education at Bond University. Throughout her career she has worked in a wide range of settings, from Elite Sports, Acute Hospitals in Australia and England, and ten years with the Ministry of Defence in England and Germany treating British Soldiers with acute as well as complex conditions.
Jo completed further training in Acupuncture and Pilates prescription, and is passionate about correcting movement patterns and motor control. She later became interested in more complex conditions such as chronic pain and hypermobility syndrome. Jo works closely with other members of the healthcare team to manage these conditions and provide clients with better management strategies.
Jo lives in Manly with her family and growing menagerie, and can often be spotted walking the dogs on the esplanade. She has competed at a high level in athletics, touch football, netball, basketball and martial arts in her time, but now prefers pilates and yoga. She is looking forward to using her expertise to treat a wide range of conditions at our clinic.
