Two Greek Girls Cooking proudly present a world first – The Mediterranean Diet Expo! A day for all Australians to understand the unique advantages of the traditional Mediterranean food and lifestyle for health and wellbeing.
Learn how to COOK – EAT – LIVE for chronic disease reduction in our community, by following the easy and delicious Mediterranean way of life.
Dietitians Desi Carlos and Lisa Peterson of Two Greek Girls Cooking showcase a fantastic day at Brisbane’s Greek Club, where you can taste, learn and explore the scientifically proven Mediterranean diet and learn all about our Mediterranean culture and approach to life.
Our passion is to help all Australians cook, eat and live simply and healthily with a wonderful Mediterranean diet rich in flavour and nutrients.
We have presentations from a wide range of medical experts, as well as a range of stalls to learn more about eating well for health and a long life. We hone in on the benefits of this diet for preventing diabetes, cancer, heart problems, brain diseases, digestive and blood disorders and promoting total body health from specialists in their fields.
Far from being just a health seminar, this is a total immersion in the wonders of Mediterranean living. We give you the chance to try some amazing local Greek produce for yourself with a selection of food stalls and the Greek Club’s restaurant Taverna offering deliciously healthy Greek food, wine and coffee.
We also have a range of wonderful speakers and entertainers ready to welcome you into the Greek community. In true Mediterranean style, we offer plenty of fun with live Greek music, Hellenic Dancers and a Greek DJ.
If you are a young Greek or Mediterranean, it’s a great opportunity to reignite your heritage and revisit the simple, traditional diet of your grandparents, now recognised as the optimal way of eating for disease prevention and longevity.
Doors open from 10:30 am – and your ticket entitles you to come and go as you please based on your session interest, or stay all day! Expo closes at 7:00 pm with the Greek Club Taverna open until 7:30 pm.
