What value do you put on your health?
At Manly Village Medical, we aim to provide superior health care that is affordable. The Australian government funded Medicare scheme subsidises the cost of a person’s health care. However, the Medicare rebate alone does not cover the cost of delivering high quality health care. Hence, there is a “gap” or out-of-pocket cost for our services.
Click here to see a graph from the AMA that shows the exponential gap between CPI (the cost of living) and the Medicare rebate, which the federal government “froze” in 2013.
To assist our patients, we offer concessional rates for pension card holders. DVA card holders are fully subsidised. Bulk-billing is available in certain exceptional circumstances, for children under 2 years old on weekdays, and for routine childhood or over-65 year old vaccinations, and chronic disease management plans; however all weekend consultations will attract a fee.
After hour consultations (before 8.00am) have a higher fee and a higher Medicare rebate. A standard (15 minute) consultation between 7.30am & 8.00am is $110.00 with a rebate of $53.90 ($56.10 out of pocket fee)
