Dr Maria Nicolaou

Dr Maria Nicolaou completed her medical degree at the University of Queensland in 2013. She has extensive clinical experience, having worked in the Queensland Health hospital system for five years before moving into general practice. Prior to medicine she completed a Bachelor of Pharmacy.

Maria holds internationally recognised SCOPE certification in obesity management, and has also completed a Diploma of Surgical Sciences. She has an eye for detail and aims to consistently provide the most up to date, evidence-based health care. Her interests include:

> overweight and obesity management
> antenatal care
> bladder and prostate issues
> early detection and management of cardiovascular, kidney and liver disease

She, her partner and son are avid birders and who love travelling and spending time in nature.
